Why refer and what happens next

Why refer?

  • Quick access to devices and device loan programs
  • Specialised assistive technology matching and trials
  • Practical school-level support: procurement, sustainment, training
  • Local, accessible formats (Easy Read / Auslan / symbols)

What happens after referral?

  1. Triage: we check urgency and the best pathway (device loan, AT trial, school support).
  2. Contact: we confirm details with referrer and obtain consent as needed.
  3. Assessment/Match: a short scoping call or on-site visit to match services.
  4. Delivery: we arrange devices, training, or partner referrals and follow up.

Referral FAQ

How quickly will someone be contacted?
For urgent risks we triage within 48 hours. Typical referrals are acknowledged within five business days and routed to the appropriate service or assessment pathway.
What if consent is not yet obtained?
If you cannot obtain consent before making a referral (e.g. urgent risk concerns), include reason and contact information and our coordinator will advise next steps and seek consent if appropriate.
Who will see the referral?
Referral information is held by Bellbowrie Connected (EduLinked). We may share necessary details with trusted partner organisations only to arrange support, and only with consent or where needed for safety.
Can I follow up a referral?
Yes — email founder@edulinked.com.au and quote the referral details; our coordinator will provide a status update.
