Child Safety Policy
EduLinked is committed to protecting the safety, wellbeing and rights of children and young people participating in our programs, events and community initiatives.
Our commitment
EduLinked is committed to providing safe and inclusive environments for children and young people. We recognise that safeguarding children is a shared responsibility and requires the active participation of staff, volunteers, partners and community members.
All children have the right to feel safe, respected and supported in learning and community activities.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to all EduLinked activities including:
- Community programs and workshops
- School or youth learning initiatives
- Digital learning events and technology sessions
- Volunteer-supported activities
- Online participation and digital platforms
Expected behaviour
All staff, volunteers and partners working with EduLinked must:
- Treat children with respect and dignity
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- Ensure activities are inclusive and accessible
- Actively promote child safety and wellbeing
- Report any concerns about child safety immediately
Risk management
EduLinked considers child safety when designing programs and events. Risk management may include:
- Appropriate supervision arrangements
- Safe physical environments
- Clear participant guidelines
- Online safety and digital platform safeguards
- Consent procedures for photography and media
Reporting concerns
If a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child arises during an EduLinked activity, it should be reported immediately so that appropriate action can be taken.
Concerns may include suspected harm, unsafe behaviour or situations where a child appears at risk.
EduLinked will take all concerns seriously and respond in accordance with relevant child protection obligations and safeguarding principles.
Inclusion and respect
EduLinked programs aim to be inclusive of children and young people from diverse backgrounds and abilities. We support accessible participation and respect the dignity and identity of all participants.

- We act quickly if there is a problem
What to do if you are worried
