Community Digital Inclusion — practical access & participation
Community Digital Inclusion supports libraries, community hubs and local services to deliver device lending, inclusive digital skills programs and place-based initiatives that increase participation for people with diverse access needs.
If you need an editable plan or accessible versions of materials, contact us and we’ll provide the right package for your team.
Program details
Community Digital Inclusion is designed to help local organisations plan and run practical programs that reduce barriers to participation. Projects typically combine device lending, supported activities and staff capability-building so people can engage with services and learning online.
Core components
- Device lending model — simple loan workflows, maintenance guidance and equity-minded lending policies.
- Accessible training — short workshops for participants and staff, delivered in plain language and with accessible resources.
- Co-design — activities and resources co-designed with local people to ensure relevance and dignity.
- Evaluation — lightweight measures and templates that show practical outcomes for funders and partners.
Our approach
We focus on pragmatic steps that local teams can own: start small with a pilot, learn quickly, refine the approach and embed sustainable practices. Our delivery emphasises accessible communications, person-centred supports and building local capacity rather than long-term dependence on external contractors.
Discovery
Short scoping conversation to understand context and priorities.
Pilot
Run a small test with accessible activities and device loans.
Evaluate
Use simple measures to assess participation and learning.
Sustain
Produce a sustainment plan and local guidance for long-term delivery.
Resources
We share practical templates and guides to reduce setup time. Common resources include lending policies, facilitator guides and evaluation templates.
Outcomes & examples
Typical outcomes are increased device access, improved digital confidence among participants, and strengthened local delivery systems (policies and staff capability). We document examples and short case studies so others can adopt what works.
