Learning outcomes

By the end you will be able to:

  • Turn on and use a phone, tablet or laptop.
  • Send email and join a video call.
  • Search the web and use bookmarks.
  • Keep accounts safe and spot scams.
  • Use simple online services like booking or school portals.

Format and time

Duration: About 10 to 14 learning hours.

Format: Short workshops plus guided practice.

Small groups and volunteer helpers for 1:1 support.

Materials: Easy Read handouts, step-by-step guides and short video clips with captions.

  3. Browsing and searching: finding safe information and saving it.
  4. Privacy and security: passwords, updates and spotting scams.
  5. Using services: booking, forms and school portals.
  6. Troubleshooting: simple fixes and where to get more help.
