Community Communication Toolkit

Who it helps:

Learners who want quick, visual ways to show needs and feelings.

Included:

  • Large symbol cards (e.g. "I need a break", "I need help", "I don't understand", "That's okay")
  • A short How to use the cards page with pictures and very short steps
  • Printable A4 sheets for cutting and using at home or in groups

Note: This is a single combined toolkit that gives learners both quick actions and a short guide in the same pack.

Connection & Connectivity Confidence Toolkit (combined)

Who it helps:

People who need simple steps and tools to show internet/phone problems and follow safe, practical actions. Suitable for adults and children, including AAC users.

Included:

  • Problem cards (e.g. "Internet not working", "No signal", "Device problem")
  • Action cards (e.g. "Restart phone", "Use mobile data / hotspot", "Talk to provider")
  • A short easy-read guide explaining rights, how to talk to a provider and next steps
  • How to use the cards page with pictures and simple wording
  • A checklist page for recording dates, times and what happened (useful if you need to make a complaint or contact an advocate)

Connecting Safely Online Toolkit

Who it helps:

People learning safe online behaviours and how to speak up when something feels wrong (teens, adults and non-verbal users).

Included:

  • Symbol cards for online safety (e.g. "I feel unsafe", "My voice matters", "I can protect my privacy")
  • Plain-language steps for blocking, reporting and getting help
  • Printable activity card and a classroom/home poster
  • How to use the cards page with images and short sentences

Funding Note: Some toolkits are distributed as part of funded programs; requests help us send the right pack and meet reporting requirements.

How Downloads and Postage Work

Get your free toolkits through our simple request process.

Choose between digital PDF or printed physical packs.

Request a Toolkit

Click Request a toolkit and complete the short request form. Choose the toolkit and whether you want Digital (PDF) or Physical (printed pack) delivery.

Physical Delivery

If you choose a printed pack we will contact you to confirm postage details and then post the pack. Printed packs are free to post to Brisbane suburbs while supplies last.

Digital Delivery

If you choose digital, we will email the toolkit PDF once your request is processed and verified. We ask for a few learner details to make sure we send the correct pack and to meet any funder reporting requirements.

We send the files ourselves — toolkits are not downloadable directly from this page.
