How to submit a story

We welcome short, genuine accounts from locals. Below are simple tips to make a story clear and easy for everyone to read.

Keep it short

Aim for 250–400 words. Focus on what happened and why it mattered.

Pictures help

Add one or two photos (1200×600px recommended). Include captions and permission for publication.

Accessibility

We can help convert your story to Easy Read or produce an Auslan summary — tick the option on the form.

Share a community story

Tell us your story — fields with are required. We may contact you to confirm permissions and accessibility options.

Easy Read — share a story

If you prefer, send us a short audio note or a 2–3 sentence message and we will help write your story and make an Easy Read version. We can also create a short Auslan summary video.

Email founder@edulinked.com.au with “Easy Read help” in the subject and we’ll help you.

FAQ & editorial guidance

How long until my story is published?
We moderate submissions and usually respond within five business days. Publication depends on permissions and any editing required.
Can you edit my story?
Yes — we can help edit for clarity while keeping your voice. We will send edits for your approval before publishing.
What if a story mentions someone else?
Please ensure you have permission to mention or publish images of other people. If not, we will anonymise names or remove photos on request.
Do stories get verified?
We check facts and permissions, but these are personal accounts — we publish them as community contributions with the author's byline.
