Frequently asked
- Who pays for specialist devices?
- Short trials are provided where available. Long-term procurement is usually the responsibility of the adopting organisation or family. We provide procurement-ready specifications and advice.
- Is a clinician required for some devices?
- Yes. Devices such as eye-gaze systems often need clinical input. We coordinate clinical partners or recommend referral paths.
- How long does a trial take?
- Typical trials run 2–6 weeks. Time to start depends on urgency, availability and complexity.
- What if the student is at school?
- We work closely with teachers, SSO/IT and school leaders to integrate devices and provide teacher-facing training and Easy Read classroom prompts.
- Who can see referral information?
- We only share details with trusted partners, clinicians and the referrer as required — and only with consent.
