Easy Read — Project
Inclusion Greeter
A simple service to welcome people and connect them to local help and programs.
In short
The Inclusion Greeter helps people find the right support quickly and kindly. A greeter listens, explains options and connects people to services like training, devices or local groups.
Who it helps
- People new to services or technology
- Families who need clear steps
- People who want Easy Read or Auslan support
- Local volunteers and staff who welcome visitors
What the greeter does
- Welcomes people in a respectful way
- Asks what help is needed and listens
- Explains options in Easy Read and with symbols
- Connects people to training, device loans or referrals
How it works
A greeter meets someone, asks simple questions, and makes a plan. If needed, they set up a short follow-up or refer to a specialist.
Volunteer
Volunteers can be greeters. We train volunteers to welcome people and use Easy Read and symbol supports.
If you want to volunteer, use the Easy Join page or email founder@edulinked.com.au.
