The challenge we're addressing

Many people know what they want to say — but struggle to say it clearly or confidently.

In regional contexts, communication confidence can affect employment opportunities, education participation, access to services, and personal wellbeing. Traditional programs often assume strong literacy skills or comfort in formal settings.

The Communication Confidence Toolkit was created to remove those assumptions and offer practical, real-world communication support that works for everyone.

What the Toolkit is

A practical, visual communication program designed for everyone.

The Communication Confidence Toolkit is a hands-on workshop program that uses visual aids, real-world practice, and accessible language to help people communicate more clearly and confidently.

Unlike traditional presentation skills courses, this toolkit focuses on everyday communication situations — talking to service providers, asking questions at appointments, speaking up in meetings, and connecting with others in your community.

What participants will gain

Practical skills and confidence that can be applied immediately in real-world situations.

What makes this program different

This is not a presentation skills course or public speaking training.

The Communication Confidence Toolkit is:

  • Accessibility-first, not literacy-dependent
  • Practical and skills-based, not theory-heavy
  • Designed with lived experience, not assumptions
  • Supportive and inclusive by design

The focus is on usable communication tools, not performance or compliance.
